The Wotzak Story
Back to the drawing board
Wotzak began as a quiet rebellion against overthinking.

As someone naturally inclined to push boundaries & dream up unconventional ideas, I found myself creatively stuck - always reaching for the next completely original concept, yet rarely finishing anything.

The Wotzak project started as a conscious decision to do something simpler: to make honest, useful objects that people enjoy using every day. Beautiful boards & vessels for food—especially food shared outdoors, eaten casually off wood with your hands or a knife—felt like the perfect place to start.

The idea was to avoid reinventing the wheel & to design items that feel good in the hand & look great on the table.
Wotzak pieces are made with care, but not ceremony. They’re grounded in my love of stripped-back meals; craft cheddars, crusty breads, home grown tomatoes, forest fruits and deli foods - shared with friends or alone, with a view of the sky.
These are objects built to celebrate those moments & encourage you to get intimate with your food & creative with your ingredients.

As for the name? That came from my then four-year-old daughter, who generously offered a list of nonsense words over dinner one evening. Most of them defied spelling, let alone pronunciation - but one stood out.

“Wotzak” was unusual, memorable, and full of character.
Much like the project itself.
